Last updated: August 9, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to PDF API Hub. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the prefillpdf.com website and our SaaS services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Service Description
PDF API Hub provides an API-driven service for generating documents, filling templates, watermarking PDFs, and other related PDF manipulations. The Service operates on a credit-based system.
4. Credit System & Payments
- Credits: Access to our API is facilitated through a credit system. You purchase credits, which are then consumed based on your API usage (e.g., 1 credit per Prefill API call, 2 credits per Watermarking API call).
- Payment Processing: All payments for credits are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your sensitive payment information.
- No Refunds: All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits do not expire.
5. User Content & Data Handling
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you upload, process, or generate using the Service, including ensuring it complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Data Deletion: All input data (e.g., PDF files, JSON data) and output data generated from API calls are deleted immediately from our servers upon completion of the API request. We do not retain this data.
- Template Files: The only user-provided files we store are your uploaded template files. By uploading templates, you grant PDF API Hub a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and use these templates solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
- Tokens: We issue secure tokens for API access and authentication. You are responsible for keeping your tokens confidential and secure.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging in any activity that is illegal or fraudulent.
- Uploading or processing content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
- Using the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam).
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PDF API Hub and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of PDF API Hub.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. PDF API Hub makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall PDF API Hub or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the Service, even if PDF API Hub or a PDF API Hub authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
